The night before the event(saturday night), I drove up with the UCI guys. It was a nice long 2 hour or so drive. Assholes kept going 85mph+, "cruising" at 5300rpm isn't very pleasing to the ears..
Well when we got to Rosamond, we went to get some gas and stuck around there for 30 minutes while our club was looking for a hotel room . at 1:30am we ended up packing 9+ guys in a room meant for 2...I slept a good 20 minutes that night.. .That place was seriously a hole in the concrete wall..
A few hours later we all got up(6:45 am). We jumped out of the "bathroom" window since we weren't suppose to have that many people in there. .
7:15am, we're off to the track.
We arrived and did the driver meeting and stuff. Once we got past all the beginners training, we finally got the open track.
I can't believe how much fun it is to push my car so hard on a course. It was the most intense driving I have ever done. Luckily, I didn't spin out, but I had a few close calls though . Going about 95mph up a hill that drops down into an S turn, I started braking too late. The rear started kick, luckily i was down to 75mph already so i through it into 3rd and gunned it through the S's I pulled through . I did this twice before learning to brake earlier . I also got a ride in my friend's type R, it was great seeing how an experience driver takes the course.
It was too fun, it's hard to describe the feeling of flying 75mph through a banked turn. I really need a bucket seat, the door and the center console wasn't too happy with me using them to stay in my seat haha. I was getting tossed left and right and back and forth.
